Hi from Tasmania

Hi All

Just a short post to say hello.

I've been a member for years but haven't logged in for some time.

I'm sure I've posted a few times here before but I actually haven't according to my post count.

James

Welcome back James. Where in Tassie?

Amaranthus.... Much of Tassie is very dark but less clear nights unfortunately. In Winter, a clear one is worth diamonds and the seeing is amazing. Alas the climate is fickle on a micro-scale though and some areas get seriously fogged in whilst a few hundred metres away... perfect! I wish you luck.

Yep, I'll be ready to pounce on those clear nights! Plenty of time otherwise for image processing... My place is at about 300m elevation, so above a lot of the fog I think (hope).

Wanna bet! I am at 385m and get whacked regularly

You'll need a freezer suit as well... sometimes, even in Summer!

... ah, but its worth it!

Cheers for the welcome folks.

Most of my viewing is from a rural property on the North coast. Very cold down here during the winter, but very clear skies on occasion.
