Open Cluster NGC 2547 Vela

Open Cluster NGC 2547 Vela- viewed Feb 11 with Tak 100D

This is near the famous double star, Gamma Vela.

EP:-Delite 15mm (50x). The cluster is an odd shaped little grouping of about 20 near equal stars. It reminded me of a cartoon shaped ship with a strongly curved keel and a wheel house on the deck.

Remarks: This is another young cluster, only 35 million years old.
