Secondary Heater.

Hey guys. Im am upgrading my 10" "Cheapy" Newt to a GSO RC10.
I used to have terrible trouble with dew on my secondary mirror, and I never had a heater for it. I have seen that you can get secondary heaters for the RC10.

So I am wondering, will heating affect collimation to an extent where it needs to be tuned every time the heater is on? If so should collimation be done with the heater on?

Erik.

I have the secondary heater on order from Kendrick Astro for my RC8. Should arrive within the fortnight. I'll try and let you know how it goes.

As an aside, did you get the CF or alloy tube?

Awesome, that would be great to know. I haven't ordered my OTA yet. On holidays overseas, but will buy it when we get back in Australia in about 2 weeks. Im going to get the CF version. I already have a 2.5" Moonlight focuser to go on it aswell.
