New member from Canada

Hello Folks

Great site you guys have here! I live in Canada and I belong to a similar but much smaller local group called Edmonton Observers Group:

http://edmontonobservers.net

I have a roll off roof observatory housing a 12" SCT. I have just begun imaging using a Canon 10D digital SLR and I have also imaged the planets using a webcam for a few years now. Most of my stuff can be seen here:

http://www.spacehutobservatory.ca

Looking forward to some great reading here and meeting some new friends on the other side of the world!

We're such fabulous people Oh and our skies are pretty good too Look forward to chatting to you. (BTW do you know that Canadians are really the up top version of Kiwis . Their always poking fun at their bigger neighbours )

Hi Peteman. Welcome.

I have been told by many people who have been to Canada that it is almost Identical to many parts of Oz and the people are just as friendly and like-minded.

So, in otherwords, welcome to our Northern Hemisphere Aussie brother! LOL

You would love the skies down here. So much to see.

Thanks for such a warm welcome! I dream of some day traveling to Australia to view your southern skies! Canada and Australia are very similar if you take away the freezing winters and perpetual twilight in the summer. How about mosquitoes? Do you guys get these? They drive us nuts here!

Hi PM

Welcome to the community "down under"! I had a great time touring your website. The design and layout is excellent, the navigation was just so easy and intuitive. I loved the images of the aurora - just fantastic. Great images of Saturn too.

You have an enviable set up, but somewhat less enviable climate! The mossies chew on us in Queensland during the summer months but all is quiet during winter. Keep us posted on what's happening with you guys "up there".

Cheers

Dennis
