It's On Its Way!!!!! :) :)

I'm sooooo excited. Just got off the phone to andrews.. placed the order for my 8 inch dob!!! plus a cheshire.. but didn't get the extra eyepiece. As we've just got word that Mrs El and I are expecting our first child.. i thought that it might be better to cut back abit for now..

so.. hopefully it'll be here tomorrow..

i guess it'll be raining in melbourne for the next couple of weeks.

ohhh no.. just realised that i'm getting it sent to my work.. so i'll have to find a way to get it home.. as i doubt it'll fit in my car.. might have to figure something out.. does anyone know roughly how big the shipping box is for the 8" dob??

El,
it should fit into your car. My 12" fits into my car (without the box) and it is HUGE!

You could always wind the back window down & have a bit of the box sticking out!

Great stuff El

Once you get comfortable with your scope and collimating it, check out the "GSO checking your optics" how-to to ensure you're getting the best from your scope
