Nikon d750 vs Nikon 7100

What would be better suited for astrophotography considering my scope doesn't like full frame so I need to put my d750 into crop mode?

Thanks

I have a D7100 and have used it for astro work - both with standard camera lenses and with a scope.

If I had the choice, I'd go with the d750 because it has a better sensor than the D7100. Putting it into crop/APSC mode is not that big a penalty, right?

There are a few threads over on another astro forum saying the D7100 is the worst possible camera for astro work and just about anything else is a better option. I've had no trouble with mine, but don't have a reference to compare it with.

Cheers,
V

The Nikon D750 has a much "quieter" sensor than the Nikon D7100, with much lower dark current noise .

I have a D7100 and the banding at long exposures is a real problem for astrophotography.
