M51 from Victoria

M51 imaged from central Victoria with my 8 inch F4 newtonian on an eq6 mount. At its maximum height its only 5 degrees above the northern horizon. It took many attempts at imaging M51 before I succeeded, usually there was clouds on the horizon or trees got in the way. This image was taken on 2 night a week apart.

Great job! I’d love to get a shot of m51 but just so so low it’s incredibly difficult. You’ve done very well!
