I sold most of my gear years ago, but have now got a bit of time so am starting to dream again.
Before I go out and spend lots of money (again) on scopes, mounts, cameras etc, I thought I'd try and get some practice in on the image processing side of things. I have used the old 7D to take a few hundred lights, darks, biases, flats, but as it's unguided and very short exposures, even my stacked results are pretty shabby.
I'm hoping someone might share a decent stacked .tif file ready for processing that I can practice with. Of course I wouldn't post results as my own or anything, it would be just for my personal use at home.
Alternatively, is there somewhere I can purchase such a file online?
Here is a LRGB image (Non Linear) of M33 after stacking and combining saved as .TIF. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoeEixCwZOsLgnjT...JDcaJ?e=lP4dQ8
I don't work with TIF files so good luck!
Needs to be trimmed, background removal, noise removal, deconvolution, curves and anything else you can think of.
Have fun and YES post your work here!
Offer is open to anyone, just give me a credit
Peter,
This is your image data and how I usually do processing (after stacking) in a hurry (and otherwise), using Canon DPP (curves only).
I was always thinking there should be more to it, so I am very interested to see how additional processing can improve this image (which is excellent already and close to the limit of equipment capabilities IMO).

Hi Bojan
Each channel was stacked (after calibration), and stretched.
Then LRGB combination.
No other processing done.
Maybe it would have been better to offer the 4 channels in linear format?
