Determining narrowband filter target suitability.

Just wondering what resources there are for determining the suitability of a particular narrowband filter for a specific target. Not really worried about reflection/emission nebulae, plenty of info around for many of them, but more for other DSO like galaxies & planetary nebulae.

I'm currently doing HaRGB while saving for better gear, and when the moon's around I shoot my Ha. But I don't want to waste my time shooting hours of Ha that won't get much more detail than just using a luminance filter. I'd rather spend that time on something more worthwhile.

TIA

Been looking at this & thinking it might make an interesting side project, imaging various objects in narrowband while I wait for my real targets to get high enough in the sky to image - I can't really see anything below 25°l, west is a total wipe out, can't get far past the meridian, nothing from east to south-east & limited view from the south-east to high to the south-west. I could spend the waiting time doing something useful...
