My First Night

Well not really, but it may as well have been. Shell just finished showing me a whole bunch of stuff, a few open and globular clusters, and even made out Saturn in the binos. Amazing how distinct Saturn appears in the sky, I'm sure it looked off shape (rings?) even through the binos!

Anyway.. I loved it.. I think I could be another convert . I get the pleasure of meeting a bunch of you fine folk tomorrow night, then I think the bino hunt begins!

Bino hunt, Jason.....uh no....give you about 2 weeks on the binos and it'll be "hmmmm....12" Planewave CDK with an AP1200 mount and FLI Proline16803 camera. Yep, I'll buy them now"
