Cleaning Dobsonian Mirror?

Hello,

I have noticed lately that the clarity of my observations has been declining, the mirror in my 12 inch Dob has a light coat of dust on it!

I haven't touched it since I bought it about 2 years ago.
Also could it be a collimation problem?

Where do I start? Should I even attempt to clean it?

Cheers Joel

I would check your collimation first!

It's no big deal to clean the mirror if you are careful.

If it hasn't been done in two years then its probably time to tackle it. The link above is a good start. The biggest problem for beginners is usually collimating it again after you put it back together!
