John, Come out to Cambroon just the other side of Kenilworth
Next Saturday for our monthly "Dark Sky" get together, I am sure you will pick up some good tips.

I have a Celestron 130 mm dia fl 650mm, with orion electric foccuser.

1965 aged seven years old. 115 Shrapnel Rd, Cannon Hill, Brisbane in my Nanna and Pop's back yard. My Uncle showed me Saturn through an 8" newtonian he had built himself. WOW. Knew I'd have a telescope myself one day - only took another 44 years!

Hi Andrew . thanks for the welcome.
I purchased a Celestron 130 slt newtonion. I have added an Orion eletric foccuser and the wifi connection to drive it. My hands get a bit shaky for fine focus. Yes it was exciting to see the rings.

Thanks Michael I have shown my grandson Jupiter during the holidays, he is 10 he loved it and wants to see more. Only took me about 40 years too. Turned 63 few days ago.
