I am reducing my astro activities and no longer need this mount. It has only ever required straightforward maintenance and adjustment. An RS232 extender has been fitted on the handset cable to protect it and the relatively fragile power socket has been replaced by a much more sturdy screw type (similar to that on the EQ8). It has an extended weight shaft, 2 counterweights and interchangeable pucks for narrow and wide bars.
It was used for planetary imaging with a 300mm Newtonian and for DSO imaging with a 200mm f4 Newtonian (regularly guiding below 1 arc secRMS). It was just capable of guiding on DSOs with a 250mm f4 Newtonian (but not in wind). It would be a great starter mount, since it can be used with handset input or computer control and it would also do a good job as portable mount for wide field imaging with a refractor or small Newtonian.
Collection please from Adelaide. Asking $900. Thanks for looking. Cheers Ray
