My problem is I take my lists - leave it in my pocket, forget a few things, buy about $100 of stuff I *didn't* come for.... then have to go back to get the stuff I forgot, and buy more un-needed stuff again!
I see a Bunnings field trip in your future!

Welcome to the forum !

Just looking at the list, I'm guessing at $50 bucks at least.

Some weeks ago, Aldi were selling in-line skate wheels for $7 a pack of four with all bearings etc. I got a pack with a view to building an EQ table!

Serious? Ouch! I'm hoping my school will give me some of the things!

I guess PVC piping will be the most expensive! Then the wood? I was thinking that the washers/screws etc would be a $1 or $2 max for 5 or so lol.

I'm going to see if I can swing by bunnings today and get the stuff if it's worth it (It's only for a few school films)

Thanks for the help

check out member Chrissyo. He has built a timber bracket to hold his video camera up to the eyepiece, that has resulted in some pretty special shots.

Welcome to IIS Sletts02,
I don`t think you will get much change out of $150.
The plywood sheet will set you back about $40 or more by it`s self.
The pvc maybe $30 for 2 lenghts.
Aluminium will cost close to $20...
Add all the bolts etc you will be close to that...
cheers

Dang! Pitty my school are tight! They won't give me anything. I managed to steal 3 pieces of the aluminum cut off. I'll sacrifice one piece and make it in to 2 and see how it goes.

The plywood I'll just steal some kind of cheap wood and not stand on the dolly at all then upgrade if necessary in the future. Any ideas where I'd be able to steal/ask for offcuts from?

Nuts/bolts... I'll see if I have any friends that have those! Hopefully I can get out of this reasonably cheaply!

Thanks for all the help!

Drive around the industrial areas on weekend looking for big dump bins out the front or in the carparks. If you find a woodworking place, you'll be amazed the offcuts you can find.

Else look for somewhere being demolished and have a look in the skip.
