As Peter has pointed out, it's a good way to get started on moon and planets and I'm assuming that's what you're planning on doing?
Having owned one, and also having a ToUcam Pro II...I'd advise you opt straight for a ToUcam as your beginner's planetary/ lunar webcam.
Not that there's anything drastically wrong with the NexImage. It's just that the ToUcam is better IMHO.
If you get a ToUcam, you'll also have to buy an adapter and download some free capture software such as K3CCDTools.
Other than that, it's quite easy to get up and running.
