Steve, I don't actually connect the camera to the telescope, I just butt the lens up to the eyepiece of the scope. This method is called Afocal photography.
You can buy a Universal Digiscope Adapter from eg.
www.MyAstroShop.com.au. It will hold the camera up to the eyepiece for you.
You can use the camera with some success by just using it on a tripod. Taking lots of short exposures and stacking them in DSS or Registax.
I've captured some pretty nice images of the brighter nebulas doing this.
Its a good little camera for what it is, but it's no DSLR.
I've really enjoyed pushing it to it's limits.
