21st Feb. Only two groups of sunspots visible today after a quiet period but one of them is large - I measured it at 125,700 km across. This single exposure image was taken with a Canon 550d camera attached to a 81 mm WO refractor with Herschel wedge at 540 nm wavelength.
Thanks for viewing.
Update: There was a X1.9 flare from AR3590 on 21st Feb at 23.52 hrs UTC. It lasted 7 min.
Fine image as per usual JW, it is a big AR, did a visual of it yesterday and just read that it has released an X1 ! flare, so will be worth watching over the next week or so as it traverses the disc .
