Petra, you do know that Houghy's signed a pre-nup that stipulates that he remains in Tania's view at all times when he's at home, don't you?

"What's it doing in the middle of a sheep paddock ?".... oh wait they're Ibis.
oh id love it to be Parkes....... but its only a dish licker here (Abba). she has given up barking at them, in the rain. they came up to the back fence. not a dumb dog as its raining , cool and they are bigger than her
David that big Harbour Bridge footing in your backyard must be as hard as granite after this nice damp weather we have been having. When is the Obs going up? Would love to see a time lapse of that.

well see, me prancing around the yard is not a good thing
Well was that (light scatter off the walls) ever a problem in it's previous incarnation? What sort of material is it, I mean if it is gel coat fibreglass you will need to rough it up to get paint to adhere I would think, but if it has flowcoat on it then that can easily be painted. I don't have a dome, but a roll off roof, and my walls are natural timber and don't tend to reflect much of anything. If your scope (assuming it is a closed tube) is pointed at the sky it is unlikely to find any reflection from the usually low level light of screens or red leds. If your running an open truss like an RC then probably a good idea to black the walls.
this is the view inside during the day and a rainbow at the end. the black interior roof needs a top up of black but the walls, they are a little thin.
this morning i sealed the base of the dome outside and inside - proved a winner a few hours later when it rained
