Power supply for XT8g Orion Skyquest

Hi All. I have been lucky enough to pick up an Orion XT8g that's around 10 years old. It has a non-genuine 240v power adapter, but no 12v cable with the car lighter adapter. Does anyone know the output amps needed for this scope and the dimensions of the male plug that fits into the scope? I'd prefer to have a small lithium battery on board this thing rather than dragging power cords around in the dark.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure if this is a later model but it's what I found based on what you mentioned:

Power requirement
12-volt DC - 2A (tip positive)
Go to the "specs" tab for more information on the system:

As for plug dimensions possibly a standard 12 volt barrel jack unit, if there's any such beast as a standard unit. you may have something else 12 volts (do not power it up unless you know it's the correct polarity) which fits and can measure the outside dimension of the plug and the inner dimension. They come with both thick and thin centre pins which can be a pain (I always have the wrong one on hand).
