C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS 6th of May

After I finished with Pons-Brooks, I swung the RH to Virgo and grabbed some 120 sec subs of the coming great comet of 2024.

This was a 100% crop, but I had to down sample it to 50% to fit the 200kB publication limit.
9 x 120sec subs used.

Cool catch Stefan a strong ghosty colour green about it generally means a Long period comet,
Actually I just googled it and says this was only discovered in January 2023,, and this comet will pass perihelion at a distance of 0.39 AU on 27 September 2024, when it could become visible to the naked eye..
Thanx for sharing

Unhappy

Unfortunately, by the time it brightens to about 6th magnitude, in mid-August, it will be located exactly in the same part of the sky as Pons-Brooks now.
