something Green??????

I took this pic of Jupiter tonight and got something else in the pic,is anyone able to tell me what it is please

Little green men - lets hope for that!

What type of lens/telescope/camera did you use. I would only suggest some sort of reflection of Jupiter.

Uranus maybe Jupiter and Uranus are fairly close at the moment (according to Sky Voyager)

Probably some light diffraction - did you have a UV filter on?
Pic is outafocus a bit, and doesnt look like it was tracking or over a period of time to capture any colour??
Interesting though, I must admit.

I don't know what it is but it doesn't look like an artifact it looks like it is there.

Internal lens reflection. We've all seen this before, its a common artifact with the modern camera lenses. That it appears at roughly the same distance in two different photos should be a dead giveaway its a lens artifact. I should go dig up some old threads where other people have got the same result.
