Smile first post

Hi all,wow what a great site where have you been hiding it or maybe i'm not good at looking,got a tipoff from Fringe_Dweller,and your AUSSIE I'm from Adelaide have a 6 and a bit inch homemade dob,20x80 binos and a cp4500 camera.Should be a couple of shots from the 26th & 27th of this month below. See you all in the forums

COD UO in here - there goes the neighbourhood nice camera (and pics btw) you glad i researched that camera for you heheh not!!

Hi all, thks for the welcome i feel at home already.RAJAH235 my 20x80's are comet watchers for sure still have WM1 etched in my mind.And yes asimov i am a member of MT P.A.S. some of my best astronomy memories are from there, first comet shot,meteor shower and aurora display.Kearn and myself watched the oct 31st 2003 aurora display for eight hours there,cold dewy and fantastic got some great shots

Those 20x80's of yours Barry have provided some of the more mind blowing views of bright comets me/stew/tony have ever seen so far, C/2001 A2 springs to mind too oct 29/30 2003 aurora we saw was indeed very impressive and great fun, and it saved the best puff till last - will never forget we saw the rays/curtains continue right into full daylight, very strong display. I recall your first meteor shower with us (I remember you thought we were slightly insane/nuts! standing out in the cold till 4-5 am, in the beginning- but then you did the same thing to me in our fishing days - dragging me out for the early morning tides LOL good fun tho - payback!) second to last of the really good Eta Aquarids shows! I think from memory.
