Remarkably, this is the sixth supernova discovered in NGC 3367 since 1986.
SN 1986A (type Ia, mag 14.0),
SN 1992C (type II, mag 16.5),
SN 2003aa (type Ic, mag 17.6),
SN 2007am (type II, mag 17.8),
SN 2018kp (type Ia)
SN 2022ewj (type II)
I captured this image of SN 2022ewj last night.
Scope: Vixen VC200L, Flattener reducer, 8 inch f6.4
Pentax K1 DSLR, ISO 12800, 30 x 30s.
By coincidence, my friend Steve Bodin, captured the same galaxy pre-outburst about 3 weeks ago from his observatory in Mattawa, WA, USA with a Meade 16" LX200. One fixed image posted here, one blink image with my image and Steve's "before" image (reproduced with permisssion) is too big for IIS. You can view it here, 2nd image on this page.
