Vixen R200SS Collimation questions

Calling all the R200SS collimation gurus out there.

So, I found a document which explains the collimation process for an R200SS (which I have attached here).

One of the instructions is to place a small dot on the secondary mirror offset by 3.8mm from the centre.

My questions on this step are: 1
1. What should I be making the dot with ?
Tippex (if that even exists any longer), Nail polish, Felt tip pen, Small sticker........

2. Can the dot be left in place after collimation?

3. If the dot needs to be removed, how to best remove it without damaging the mirror?

I tried to use the OCAL collimator but can't make head nor tail of it.

Thanks Matt

Did you use the same instructions as I have?
If so, how easy was it to do?

I use the catseye Infinity autocollimator and Blackcat system for my R200SS. They do a kit that includes a Cheshire for aligning the edge of the secondary with the focuser drawtube. The Infinity autocollimator and Blackcat require a center spot sticker to be applied to the primary but it comes with a template to lay over the mirror to get it centered. Works fantastic, very highly recommended for fast newts. I bought the Baader 4-in-1 2" compression ring with the M60 thread to suit the 2" autocollimator. Just make sure you get the correct length catseye XLKP autocollimator such that the autocollimator mirror ends up at the focal plane.
