Agapios!

If you want to see what the sky looks like upside down, then just look up!

Hope you make it to Australia soon, and get to see the real sky the right way up!

and Agapois.

What are you thinking of studying, and where abouts will you study?

I think you will want to stay in Queensland, the weather is much more like your home than those other southern states. Who needs to live in the cold and wet when you can live in the warmth and sunshine

Queensland that is

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Im thinking of enrolling at UNSW for a course in Astronomy and if that doesnt happen i'll do something computer-related. Im currently finishing up on a diploma in an IT-related field here in Cyprus. I'll be staying somewhere in Sydney with my already-there family

That's if, with God's help I manage to go through with this, which I think I will!

Whilst here, I picked up my paces on the hobby and I've even given into astrophotography a bit... here's my gooddies list!

8" Newt. on CG5-GT mount
Kodak CX7525 digicam
SPC900NC with a few extras
Lotsa eyepieces and filters
Looooot of good mood!

I'd like to see how many of those things I'm going to keep in the end and how am I gonna stick 'em on the plane

Ken, I would think in Cyprus, Agapios gets to see some pretty good skies. Probably better than just about anywhere in mainland EU. Of course none of the southern delights that we take for granted here.

Yep that's just about true. If you take a one to two hour trip to the Northwestern most part of the island you can get some pretty amazing skies! Im smack in the center, between the capital and another major city but on Moonless nights the milkyway is smiling right at me! So I guess the skies here are pretty good...

The Andromeda galaxy... hmmm.. not my idea of a spiral
