Corona Australis

Hi All,

Taken this image some time ago and never really posted the latest version. This was also an experiment to see how well the Photometric colour calibration works on SiriL and really surprised by the output.

Telescope - TS80
Camera - 450D DSLR Unmodded
Setup - Astroberry
Stacked and colour calibrated using SiriL
Processing - Startools
Minor tweaks GIMP.

Both are colour calibrated from SiriL, although one image colour correct un touch using Startools, while the other I let Startools colour adjust. Obviously, SiriL worked out the best, I simply returned all the colour sliders on Startools to zero (0) in the colour module.
Startools did a fine job on all other aspects including the Deconvolution module. First time I really tweaked that module. The defaults showed no change.

More work to do on my other images while I finish experiments on my camera and mount.

BTW I do not have a colour calibrator for my monitor so there may be a limitation there.

Great result Malcolm, the 2nd one is the best.

Go in hard with the saturation just for fun!

Well done

Thanks Peter,

FYI, the first one colour is the most accurate as it is based on the photometric calibration, although the second one colour looks nice.
