Milky Way

Hi everyone,

I had the opportunity to get out and enjoy the clear
night Friday till late.

Though it was dewy and the clouds rolled in I managed
to get some images before the rain washed me out.

20 x 70 seconds light frames
20 x 70 seconds dark frames

Modded Canon 1100D
ISO 1600
Sigma 17mm @ f/2.8 lens

Heq5 via EQ Mod and Stellaruim

Captured with Astrophotography Tools
Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker
Processed with Snapseed.

Detail seems to have been lost in the resize
for posting.

Thanks for looking.

Paul.

Nothing better than a wide field of the Milkyway.

I think it is the bottom part of the Emu.

Maybe try and get the top part (that includes the Southern Cross) and then stitch the two images together.
I can help you with that if you want.

Done good Paul

Thanks Peter

I tried to get the most of the frame by going diagonally.

Stiching images would be a great way to add to it.

Thanks for the idea and offer of help, a very generous offer.

Let's see if I can get more to add ?

Paul.

Paul,
Excellent wide field , rich in colour and detail
One of your best
Maybe try the other end later into the night or early hours
Cheers
