I don't know how to use setting circles

The setting circles should be able to rotate freely of mount axis to "calibrate" the position, and then be locked to the axis to allow you to find objects by RA and Dec. reading off pointers on the setting circles.

"Chinese crappo mounts"
I think its a solid set up and I hope to have many night under the stars with it.

Here is my new scope on its newly made mount, which was a copy of the original base. This night the moon was full so not much observing got done so I decided to take a pic of it. Oops forgot to add this is an 200mm f6 Skywatcher telescope, with Orion accufocus (not shown)
