The setting circles should be able to rotate freely of mount axis to "calibrate" the position, and then be locked to the axis to allow you to find objects by RA and Dec. reading off pointers on the setting circles.

What computerising does the mount have Ken ?

Stepper Program for the tracking, Geoff. Plus the Toucam program and electronic focusing. The kind of stuff that Mr Dobson would take off and throw out
