I've had some breaks over the last couple of months and my wife and I have stayed for a few nights away from the city. It's good to give your lungs a rest from all that smog filtering!
One place we went to was a B & B near Flinders. The first shot of the Emu was taken from the Flinders Golf course with the lights of the jetty at the end of the road. This was a composite of a static foreground shot and a tracked sky background with an iOptron Sky Tracker.
The next ones were static tripod shots taken a week or two back from Port Fairy. The light dome of Warnambool can be seen in the early morning shot I took before sunrise and after moonset. The last was taken from the same position looking south toward the Port Fairy Lighthouse.
All photos were taken with a Fujifilm mirrorless camera and a 15-45mm Fujinon kit lens @ 15mm.
Thanks Leo, I was hoping for clearer skies down at Port Fairy but I was lucky to get any stars at all because the few days we were down there were showery and cold. The morning I took these was the only one with some clear breaks between the clouds and no moon.
