2X Powermate and extension tube

Hi

I've read about using an extension tube with barlows to increase magnification - is it possible to do the same with TV powermates?
For instance would a 2" 2X Powermate become a 4X powermate with a 2" extension tube?

Thanks

Powermates are not Barlows

Quick answer - No.
The Powermate is not a Barlow. The magnification is almost independent of the back focus distance so adding an extension tube would make no difference.
There's a series of graphs available on the Televue site which shows the varying magnification for each Powermate.
