Hi all,
At the risk of making a duplicat thread, I thought I'd make the invitation for any novices to come along to a local Sydney Star Party in Randwick tonight.
A bit short notice, but that's how it goes sometimes.
For details, see the link below which takes you to the thread in the Star Parties forum in case you haven't been to the forum:

Kick off is around 7:30, and we can finish after midnight if conditions are good. You can rock up at what time is convienient for you.
You don't need to bring a scope, if you do have a telescope please do bring it! It is a chance also to have questions answered that you may have on setting up, eyepieces, what ever.
Just your eyeballs is fine too! If you've got binoculars, bring them along as they are very useful!
If you are bringing a torch (very useful), look to have it taped over with red celophane as it will do the least disturption to your dark adapted eyes. Two or three layers is usually enough.
Hopefull see you there.
Mental.
