Purchased in June this year I must sell my new ten inch OTA F8 Meade ACF with accessories. The tube has a losmandy dovetail fitted top and bottom. The bottom one is standard and top one was modified and added to suit the tube (you can reinstall the vixen type which is supplied with original screws.) No eye pieces or viewfinder. However you will have the Optec Lepus 0.62 reducer made for ACFs with an adaptor for a canon camera (you order the adaptor to suit your ccd or camera), dew shield, heater, T2 adaptor and SCT 2 inch adaptor. I will place the original MEADE view finder mount on the tube. The reducer and adaptor cost $600 alone so there are hundreds of dollars of extras. The shot of ETA Carina is a single 3 minute guided shot with no reducer, uncropped. Original packaging. Camera and mount for example only and not for sale. Sunshine Coast for inspection. I better add the price asking $3600.
From a Meade advert - Building on Meade’s award-winning Advanced Coma-Free™ (ACF™) optics, the 10" OTA employs a fast f/8 optical system with high-contrast baffling that insures crisp, pinpoint imaging to the very edge of the field. Features an internal zero image shift Crayford-style focusing system with a two-speed 7:1 reduction control that provides smooth, precise focusing at any magnification. Also features Meade's Ultra-High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) for maximum brightness and contrast, an oversized low-expansion primary mirror for extra aperture and to prevent thermal expansion of the mirror, and diffraction-limited optics.
