I asked this on a facebook forum and didn't really get a good answer. I've attached some very very low res/quality screen captures.
I tried for the Running Chicken Nebula which is magnitude 4.5. Now According to Stellarium, The Orion Nebula is 4.0 which I don't consider too different. Orion is a relatively easy capture and the core blows out quickly too - 2 min subs with a decent stack in an hour.
Running Chicken on the other hand I can barely make out with 2 hours of 5 min subs (Canon 60D @ ISO1600/ Baader Neodymium). I know I am off target but I should see a chunk of it easily right?
