3-1 CNC/Laser engraver/3d printer

Hello,

Saw this unit and thought it had some great advantages over three separate units. Has anyone seen or bought a similar unit?

The real appeal is in only having to learn one machine, the video on Jaycar shows some impressive bits. The printing foot print is fairly small (150x150x150 - mm), but claims to be all metal construction for $999.

And a review here

Looks promising, although I suspect to pain to change from one method to the next.

Thanks for the link, fairly honest review from the looks and nice to see the 150mm is the smallest of three options.

I have the Snapmaker 250 and its an awesome product, absolutely top shelf in terms of print/carve and etch. Mine is the 1600mW laser although there is a 10W now available as well as a rotating axis for carving chess pieces and the like.

The 3d printing gets most used followed by the laser etcher. And the kit certainly brings out the creativity, attached is a handy holder for my AsiAir wifi range extender that I designed and printed yesterday

Unfortunately, the v1 from jaycar has a very weak laser and I'm not sure that the 10w is compatible as an upgrade (albeit a very expensive one). I think the 1600mW is and you may be able to find one second hand as folk upgrade.

Would I buy one again? In a heartbeat
