Hi Bojan,

If W7 isn't cooperating I'm wondering if it is worth trying through a linux live iso and doing it that way? [insert disclaimer about me not being responsible for any data loss]. I think i remember you saying you used Mint a while back.

Cheers

Hi Russ,
Thank you for the reply - I already tried this app, and it worked to some extent - now I have 2.3GB un-allocated..

It seems the partitions in general must be contiguous and because of lack of space on Disk1, it can't move other things around as required.

I think I can live with this :-)

Well, I wrote in my previous post that W'10 works..

Not quite.

Actually, it worked immediately after upgrade, but then there were some more W'10 upgrades and better features.. and after restart, W'10 refused to start properly, and after 10 or so attempts to restart, I gave up and returned to W'7.

That machine (Compaq 6300 64-bit) is pretty old, but still..
I have another one (same model( that I upgraded to W10 a year ago and activated without problems, but now I am afraid to put it online because it may suffer the same fate..

Is MS doing this on purpose?
