Red face I know I'm being padantic, but I have another question about Crayford focussers...

Hi everyone,

The Bintel and Andrew's Communications websites advertise their GSO 8" Dobsonians as having 'Crayford focussers'.

However, the Guan Sheng Optical website advertise them as having 'Micro 10:1 Crayford focussers'.

I was wondering whether Bintel OR Andrew's Communications mean 'Micro 10:1 Crayford focusser' when they describe the GSO 8" Dobsonian as having a 'Crayford focusser'?

Thanks a lot for all of your help!

You would have to ask the dealer themself to clarify. I suspect that if the 10:1 is standard it would be specified.

I have however heard that Bintel have been persuaded to upgrade to 10:1 for a small fee. Highly recommended!

Yeah that's what I was thining, they might be able to upgrade me for a small fee because there's only a $20 difference between the two focussers.

Thanks!
