Found this site that will help track your viewings

http://astronomychecklist.com/

Not sure if this is much use to anyone but someone just posted it on another astronomy site I look at (reddit.com/r/astronomy) and he said he made it for himself but uploaded it for the bettering of amateur astronomy.

Thanks for posting Matt. That is a very handy listing.

Messier Objects, Caldwell Objects, and a list of Visual Binaries.

Use the expand function to view by season. It even has a Difficulty Filter and a Night Vision (Red Screen) function. Plus it is printable.

Nifty!

Michael.

No problem, I found it quite nifty as well haha.. Well for beginners or even people that are unsure of what to look for next!

I'm going to use it tonight and start off a log of some kind..

thanks. It looks like a handy checklist to have. One of these will be coming in helpful as i have just bought a second hand Celestron C102-HD 4.0102mm Achromatic Refractor Telescope Kit (1000mm f10.0) with Manual Equatorial Mount EQ with motor drive non goto. Its doing my head in at the moment working my way around this mount, polar alignment etc. I have been non stop reading about how to do it so i have a slight idea. I am determined to get it all to sink in...one day
Thanks for posting the checklist
