I just joined up, always had a interest in Astronomy - worked in retail/wholesale for a telescope supplier for about 16 years but no longer. Just want to keep in touch with what is happening.

Hi Kyza,
You are certainly in the right place to keep up with astronomical new and events. A great forum with friendly people. You maybe interested in The annual Queensland Astrofest to be held in around July just North of Esk. A great place to meet people from various clubs in Brisbane. see lots of different equipment in use and of course meet lots of IIS members.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, visual is for me Rob. I have a 3 year son that I would like to point out a few objects in the sky. My son has autism and non verbal but one of the few sounds he can make is moon as he points up to the moon/
