Ha sun 1st March LT

Hi

I haven't been able to image the sun of late, but finally got out early this morning to capture the attached Ha image.

13 of 27 frames selected and stacked with AS3!. Post processed with Astro Surface. Each of the frames reconstructed using Doug Smiths SHG software.

Data captured @ 322FPS with an ASI183MM cooled camera and a 100mm f/9 Skywatcher/Orion telescope + home made spectroheliograph.

Low res 70% of full size attached here.

Better full size version downloadable from here: https://flic.kr/p/2pAYGsN

Cheers
Maurice

PS Added a view of my setup..

That is quite an impressive set up Maurice that obviously works very well, the images produced are a testament to that. Thanks for sharing the output.

Terrific image Maurice with lots of details. I also liked looking at your setup - looks like you have put in a lot of work setting the SHG up. Well done.

Regards, John W
