Horsehead and flame

….and mostly Alnitak.

My first go on the horsehead ever. Asi533, ed100, .85reducer.
Around 40x3min.

Alnitak is a real bugger but I think it came out ok.
First night in weeks and weeks I’ve been able to image.
I also have a widefield of same with At65edq and d5300 but have not processed yet.

Stunning image. Vibrant colours and beautiful details. One for the cool wall.

That’s a really nice image of a difficult target
Well done !!
The flame doesn’t do much for me , I’d prefer a wider view of just the Horsehead, as its emission spreads out so far. Also Alnitak being so bright is a pest , however most folk image all three as it makes for a good challenge and is universally recognised.
Cheers
Martin

Excellent!. Although Alnitak is a bit bold, it does add an artistic element to the pic, well done!. I like the colour balance.

Thanks Fred and Martin.
I’m not a huge fan of the flame either Martin. However I think the flame and horsehead really complement each other quite well.

Well that is different, upside down and all, but nice indeed.
