Celestron 9.25 Evolution $2,500!!

One and only price reduction to $2500.

The age thing has happened to me, and I have to downsize again. Bloody annoying.

So, my C9.25 is for sale. It is around 17 months old, and is still under warranty through Andrews Communications. It has not been used for imaging.

This telescope has been quite fantastic to use. The internal battery and on board wifi make it an absolute snack to use via my tablet or mobile running Sky Safari 4. With a correct alignment, go-to and tracking are top notch, and the views are brilliant. I have opted to keep it at the native F10, because I prefer that view. Use of a focal reducer makes it F6.3 if you are into wide field, and there is always the option to go the Fastar route at F2.3! A very flexible device, see here for more info: http://www.celestron.com/browse-shop...-evolution-925

As with all my previous telescopes, this one has been correctly looked after. It has been properly stored, the corrector plate has not needed cleaning, and collimation is spot on. I'm going to miss it! Oh, the 'pretty' wheel thingy on the focusing knob is there to allow fine adjustment of focus.

Comes with the original Celestron 40mm and 13mm eyepieces, a felt dew shield, artificial star, and most of the original boxes.

Pick up is much preferred, inspection is invited. I live 20min west of the Melbourne CBD and as a retiree, available most of the time.

Price is $2500. PM responses, please

A bit more info. This telescope has seen little use, around 25 nights under the sky.

A prime reason for buying it was that I wanted the best return (ease of use and quality of views) on the occasions that I was able to use it. It has certainly achieved that aim!

It is now packed in its original boxes, so it can be "mailed". It is in three boxes:

1. 900x360x470, 20kg approx.
2. 945x545x430, 20kg approx.
3. 450x470x100, 5kg approx.

Freight Cost

I have had enquiries on cost of freight for the three boxes.

Pack & Send seem reasonably priced. You can calculate your freight cost using my postcode 3029. I am happy to deliver the boxes to my local Pack & Send depot at Footscray. Note that cm is used for dimensions, not mm!

The Self Serve option is way better priced than the Full Service option, but is service centre to service centre, not door to door.
