Had a play around with this new G12 camera and wanted to see how RAW pp went,Thanks H for DDP advice,I uploaded the newest version, and can now pp the RAW from this camera.
The first thing I found, was it only give RAW file in manual mode.So need to remember that.Only had this hunter in RAW and JPEG,so I've posted the JPEG,and then my pp of the RAW file.Critique and thoughts welcomed.
The second two images are a JPEG and a pp of the JPEG,your thoughts welcomed on these too.
I'm still not sure about this camera, its considerably heavy for a PS.But takes up less room than a XXXd and 18-55 kit lens. The flip screen is a big useful tool. This may be a good camera for late afternoon BBQ events, camping and outdoors, when not wanting to carry a large DSLR.
Your thoughts on these test shoots most welcomed-thanks Chris

Reason: detail
Not sure Jason.Might be better off with a second hand 400D with the new 18-55 kit lens,to be used as casual camera. It would have the bonus to be used more seriously as need. This G12,I'm told is something like between a regular PS and DSLR.I use my regular PS a bit,and its much lighter. This one is quite heavy. The flip screen feature is quite a useful tool.
