I was just at Andrews Communications today and picked up a William Optics DCL-52 for $69, which I thought was a really good price. I had previously bought the DCL-28 overseas a few years ago for more than twice this price. The DCL-52 is a 2" eyepiece with a 52mm thread on it - I need a 49-52mm step up ring before I can use it.
At the same time, I got a couple of the Guan Sheng Camera projection lenses - a Plossl 32mm and 40mm - both 1.25" ones with a T2 thread on it ($29 each). I now need a 49mm to T2 filter adapter to connect my Nex5 to them. I would have liked to get the 2" versions of these. Has anyone had any experience with these CPL's? The sleeve that has the T2 thread can be adjusted outwards from the eyepiece, supposedly allowing better focus, but would it also increase the image size?
