I was on a ship in the Gulf of Alaska travelling between Kodiak and Tsaa Fjord when a CME arrived. My first proper aurora. It was simply beautiful.
Only had my iPhone. Used the railing to keep the phone steady and trying hard not to lose my phone overboard! Just a couple of images from a longer animation. The stars in the centre of the field are Castor & Pollux.
