Massive proms right now.

Two very large proms and another forming arcs, qute a bit of activity at the moment, worth getting the Ha scope out for a look.

I'm actually observing the Sun right now through my 20x80mm binoculars. Well worth a look as you said Ivan, there is a massive sunspot group shaped like a an "H". Must look incredible through your Ha scope!

Hi Joe, white light or Ha, the sun is worth a look anytime. As the cycle continues towards max , there will be plenty more to see. If you haven't yet, try to have a look through a H alpha scope, as the sun in ha is one of the best views in astronomy.

Question

Hi Ivan. I have not yet had the pleasure of looking at the Sun through a Ha telescope. I would love to one day..

Indeed the Sun is among the most dynamic objects in Astronomy. I observe it every clear day using the projection method with my 20x80mm binoculars. Cheers
