The most amazing thing yet!

So I was out looking at Jupiter and other stuff last night 8-Nov-12, At about 1:30 AM I see a big brilliant flash of green light in the corner of my eye (as if someone had let off a flare 200 meters away) and I turn to see the remainder of a brilliant green meteor shoot across the sky (direction was about 75 Deg east north east and altitude about 30 Deg). I am In Western Australia and just wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this and or can explain it (best thing I can think of is a big copper meteor), Also if there is any nearby meteor tracking resources that I can check to see if they've got it on record. I only wish I had a camera recording that area of the sky at that time

Thanks

Matt

ah Rockingham too, it was very impressive, haven't seen anything like it before. Makes me want to invest in one of those Orion all sky cams, so i'll get everything on video.

Ah you're one step ahead of me. That's sucks that you didn't get anything though, I'm pretty sure I wasn't hallucinating (it was pretty bright and was definitely somewhere between 1-1:50, I wish I had paid more attention to the time but I was a bit struck by awe and the need to sleep).
