Well, the links are fixed now! And I'm glad they are ...
The standards for all entries are just about stratospheric! I reckon at least a dozen entries (if not more) from deep sky could rightfully have won the award . Well done guys, can't believe how quickly the standards of Australian astrophotography reached truly world class. From now on I think David might just as well toss a coin

How many video sequence entries were there all up? Surely not just the five on the CWAS page...? All great jobs though...especially that Nyngan Venus Transit that should have won I say, harumph!

Cheers Marc. My dig was more at the aussie press, nothing mentioned or hosted anywhere. A bit disapointing - you would have thought the public would be just as interested. Seems not.

There were 8 animation entries. David put a slide up at the start with all the numbers of entries.

Yep, they often don't have a clue behind the science of many images.

Iv'e tested the animation waters... so much the keep constant... over so many hours. If your etalon shifts and dust motes dance...well.... bugger!

Tough gig.

I really liked your sequences Col. Don't be phased by the press, for the most part they need some remedial science training.

Yes that is a bugger, but then you go with what you have. Better than nothing

Thanks Peter. I think the bird has flown this time around. Wasn't holding out much hope, so not really that disappointed.

Good luck with the animations! Would be nice to see more entries next year.
