No doubt the GerdNuemann Aurora Flat Panel will come in very handy but just in case I'd also suggest you buy a beefed up version of GradientXTerminator.

Listen RB – that new toy you have, pan it around until it faces your forehead then switch on, like what you showed me here

Dave, it may be worth contacting the ACCC and ask if you have a case for taking the offending parties to the small claims tribunal.

OK the final footnote for this post is that we have now bought another home to move into from the 28th July. the irony is that i raided Bunnings to get as many cartons as possible for the move.

Let's hope that nobody else decides to open another mega store next to your new house.

The other night I visited Mr Hough and I was in total shock at how horrendous the light situation is at his place.
I remember on previous visits that it was quit dark relatively speaking, now you can read a newspaper outside his dome.
He put his hand up and it cast "at least" five distinct shadows.

There's no way to combat this with light shrouds etc.
I'm glad you're moving mate, it's the best thing.
As I said, if you need a hand when moving, let me know.

Yep. Schizophrenic shadows are the worst. I think Dave'll appreciate the move once he's settled in.

But seriously though it's heartbreaking to see such a nice observatory just drowned in light from the new street lights.
