Losmandy G11 with G2

Guys - I have enjoyed using the RJ45 / Network cable to controll the G2. But I want to run my mount from indoors and controll the whole setup via Teamview 6 on both computers (netbook next to mount and desktop from indoors). This will use up the single network plugs.

Does the USB connection work well. Any issues?

Or should I go with USB-Serial connection?

Guys - another question.

The G2 unit has two 12 - 18V inputs/ouputs.

I plan on powering the unit with 18V DC, does this mean that 18V is the output via the other / spare output? I want to run my dew controller from there, but it's a 12V DC unit...

The 2nd connector will have the same voltage as the input its a straight pass thru connection.
