Had one bad storm so far this evening, and now have another 2 on the way.
I live in that town with the two arrows pointing to it.
Due to hit at 8.05pm.
With luck there will be clear skies afterwards. fingers crossed

we have some moonlight behind clouds, maybe with luck we'll get a clear patch around midnight.

Perfect observing conditions in Perth: clear and warm, with a gentle breeze.
Sorry, t'othersiders - we feel your pain.

About 1 hour 20 minutes till it starts and it is still raining here

From Weatherzone:
Quote:
The eclipse will start at at 11:46pm AEDST, with the peak of the total eclipse occurring at 1:32am on Sunday morning. The moon will be totally eclipsed for 51 minutes and be back to its normal state by 3:18am.

With a lingering trough over QLD, much of the state's coast is likely to be shrouded in cloud. Brisbane will be no exception, however the trend should be for a slight decrease in cloud cover as the eclipse starts.

In Sydney, you will have to be lucky to catch a glimpse of the eclipse with cloud streaming in the from the west. The cloud cover should increase just after midnight.

For Melbourne a cold front will push through late this evening and into Sunday morning. While this may be a welcome relief for some after the recent heat, it will bring an increase in cloud and showers dampening the hopes of those waiting up to see the lunar phenomenon.

If you don't catch a glimpse of it this time around the next total eclipse will be in April 2014.
